Kasha Club

Kasha Club is a small studio, really small. If you count cats, there are currently three mostly full-time staff. Maybe if Monster Lily is successful there will be more, but in the meantime we are focused entirely on Monster Lily and that will be the case for the foreseeable future.

Composer Info

The music really sets a "feel" in Monster Lily. I'm not sure, is this the first ascii game with a full soundtrack? Funnily, but for me a few of my favorite RPGs are essentially just awesome soundtracks with a game on the side (hey Final Fantasy).

We had to be careful with Monster Lily however because it is more survival-horror in spirit. It would not make sense for the player to hum a chip-tune while they play. They'll end up distracted and dead! As such we needed an ambient soundtrack. Turns out it's actually quite hard to do ambient right, a lot of ambient out there is overly produced, boring, or exhausts your ears.

After a long search I was incredibly fortunate to find the works of talented creators RyanAvx and Makoto Hiramatsu. Monster Lily includes royalty-free tracks from both. They put distinct "soul" in their sound. In fact we ended up partnering with RyanAvx on several custom and exclusive tracks for Monster Lily. Please check both of them out!
